Looking for a new sport to try? Look no further than Korfball! It's a sport that welcomes players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced players, locals to expats, and even those who have played basketball or netball in the past. Whether you're looking to challenge yourself, meet new people, or simply have fun, Korfball Basel is the perfect place for you.
But Korfball Basel is more than just a sports team - we also have regular social events and even go on summer hikes together. And when it comes to the game itself, Korfball is unlike any other sport you've played before. Played by hand within a rectangular field, two mixed teams work together to shoot a ball into the opposite team's Korf (basket), with all players having the right to protected ball possession. It's a sport that values all-around skills, cooperative play, and gender equality, and allows for scoring from 360° around the Korf.
So why not give Korfball a try? No previous experience is required - just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
