Hello everyone,

yay, time to announce the #6th meetup of the Berlin chapter of “Ladies that UX Berlin”!

This month we will be unpicking practical challenges around conducting UX research in our jobs.
Our first speaker Kyra Edeker, Lead Service Designer at Blacklane, will be sharing a case study of a recent project starting from inception and a stakeholder-generated user journey to remote international usability testing and delivery.

And our second speaker Martina Skender will share her insights on junction between business goals, user research and design.

Program:

7:00 pm - Doors open, food and drinks!
7:30 pm - Hello (from us and from our host N26)
7:50 pm - Kyra Edeker: Case Study // Everybody in: Introducing service design into an organization
8:30 pm - Martina Skender: Designer as a Facilitator.
After - relaxed networking and drinks

Speakers:

>>Kyra Edeker:

Kyra is Lead Service Designer at Blacklane where she is responsible for user research and end to end service design for both supply and consumer side experiences. Her career has been a cross between user research and user experience design for more than 15 years. She has worked with Google ATAP, PayPal, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung and many small and midsize startups.

She helps companies to understand their users to create design strategy and solutions to tackle their most important issues. Two of her favorite things are messy, fuzzy problems and helping make the daily life of people using products a bit better.

>>Martina Skender:

Martina is a UX designer at DaWanda, where she deep dives into the user journey of DaWanda's sellers and tries to unite research insight and design strategy, while keeping in mind strong emphasis on DaWanda's unique value proposition as social e-commerce. Over the last 10 years, Martina has worked in various user focused digital design roles; from consulting McKinsey Digital Labs, designing museum guide app for metropolitan Museum in NYC, to taking part in Hewlett-Packard Labs' GUI team.

She sees herself as a mediator between products, humans and the environment. She loves to re-think (all kinds of ) systems, read paper books and bike around lakes of Berlin
