Speakers:
Hertje Brodersen (Freelance Experience Strategist)
Hertje Brodersen is a freelance Experience Strategist and former UX craftswoman. She helps clients plan and design meaningful experiences that are relevant for customers and good for business. She strongly believes that successful services are not just based on excellent strategies and well thought out concepts, but depend on the people who make them a reality.
Title of talk: Teamwork Anti-patterns
Description: There is no lack of ideas for amazing services. Once implemented, however, many turn out to be failures. There are loads of reasons for that: lack of market fit, overly ambitious technology, or limited budgets. But more often than not, services fail because the teams who make them fail. We spend loads of time trying to optimize our services. Why not start by optimizing our teams?

Ayse Naz Pelen (Digital Product Design @ zalando)
Naz is a product designer at Zalando working with different teams to ensure a consistent and joyful experience across all channels. She started working in e-commerce early in her career and finally ended up in Berlin last year. Naz is curious about how fashion choices affect the way people feel and always tries to keep that in mind when designing new products.
Title of talk: Can design help in shaping team culture?
Description: When teams start growing and the number of stakeholders increase, it can get tricky to navigate the waters at work. How do we make use of design thinking methodologies to make sure that everyone is on board and feeling great about what they are building? How can design help create a team culture in an ever-changing, ever-growing company? Naz will talk about how to work as a designer in an autonomous team and how to build products with passion.

Zalando is transforming from Europe’s leading e-commerce company into a multi-service platform that provides fashion as a service. We make it our mission to imagine and predict the infinite points of interaction between fashion and people - and develop the technology to make that possible.
