Über uns
We are a User Group & a community -- practicing, exploring, and learning since 2016, how we can use the open-source (and free) 37 group communication/facilitation methods (microstructures) called Liberating Structures.
We use a theme each month as the container to support our practicing and playing with the structures, which can be combined and used in infinite ways to radically improve how people interact and work together. And you don't need to have any prior experience to join us here!
Is this the right group for you?
• Are you a coach, facilitator, manager, team member, on a board, or working with two or more people?
• Are you constantly annoyed with long, frustrating meetings that end without a concrete result?
• Are you frustrated by presentations or brainstorming that allows for only the loudest voices to be heard?
• Want to get the most out of your time together with other colleagues and employees?
• Do you think that teams produce significantly better results when people can work together well?
If you can answer “Yes!” to any of these questions then you might like our User Group!
You do NOT have to have any prior experience to join us here!
***You do NOT have to have any prior experience to join us!***
What are the details? What do we do in the meet-up?
It involves a toolbox with 37 simple methods that revolutionize your meetings and can lead to amazing discoveries. And even make them fun ;-)
Each meetup is approximately 2 hours, that includes three activities:
• networking and sharing among members
• getting & giving help
• learning something new together (action planning!)
We have rotating facilitators (who help design this meet-up in another gathering) so we get to learn AND practice by teaching and sharing with each other. We want to inspire as many people as possible with this new approach. We are convinced that it is possible to create a completely new culture of cooperation and collaboration working with Liberating Structures.
There are Communities of Practice all over: Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Brussels - and more all the time. You are welcome at any of them!
Join us to learn, and practice fun, easy, and immediately useful micro-tools that will have any group of people you work with engaging on a whole new level!

YES, IT'S FREE! Here's Why:
This is a volunteer effort, managed and maintained by Sylvia, including the backend (Meet-up subscription etc), sourcing locations and hosts, organizing the Design Team, coaching and mentoring at each meet-up so the optimal learning experience can happen for everyone. The goal, allow as many people as possible to connect with this way of working, so we grow inclusive, safe ways to collaborate and work together. Consider a donation to show your appreciation by buying her a coffee.
Want to explore more? There are lots of resources:
• Website with all structures and suggestions listed above.
• Cards to help you create a "string" (like a chain reaction of connected structures): https://www.amazon.de/Holisticon-Liberating...
• An app..: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...
The tools are open-source and free to use. We are providing a fun and safe place to practice and learn!
We hold Meetups in English, mainly to increase diversity, but of course, German or any other language is welcome in small group work or partner work. (Wir möchten in dieser Usergroup die Liberating Structures kennenlernen und das Wissen darüber in die Welt hinaus bringen.) Don't let your confidence in English stop you from coming.

LSLab Berlin 9.5 @Codecentric
codecentric AG, Köpenicker Straße 31, Berlin, DEOur LSLab Berlin November 2025 Meet-up is launched!
The Theme & String of Structures
The Design Team will meet in a few weeks to co-create a relevant and timely theme, as well as a 'string' of structures to bring the learning to life.
We will announce that after Nov 5th!Our Host
We've been invited to use the cool space at codecentric - again! They hosted us a year ago and are doing it again! Lucky us!
It's a small space so we will limit the participant number accordingly.IMPORTANT NOTE:
We don't debrief during the event because we want it to reflect a real-work-application as much as possible. However, our intention is that people leave with inspiration, connection, and some kind of insight - whatever the topic. There's time to ask questions and talk about the mechanics at the end or at the break.Never been to an LSLab Meet-up and don't know what Liberating Structures are?
You don't need to! This is a community of practice, so it's helpful, and also, there are lots of newbies looking for tools to make their meetings and human engagement, and interaction better! This is the place to do that! We don't teach LS directly, but you get to experience them and see how they work by being a participant in our 'lab'. It's for experimenting, exploring, and all levels of learning. Join us!*********
This is a fully volunteer-run event, so donations are gratefully accepted. You can donate here: buymeacoffee.com/lslabberlin.
Proceeds go to maintaining the meet-up website and admin costs. Thank you for supporting me to keep this community alive.

Is it a Christmas Miracle? Maybe! But whatever it is, we will end the year with a wonderful event in this amazing community of learners and explorers. The Theme & String of Structures
The Design Team will meet in a few weeks to co-create a relevant and timely theme, as well as a 'string' of structures to bring the learning to life.
We will announce that after Nov 28th!Our Host
We've been invited to use the cool space at Bayer - again! They hosted us earlier this and are doing it again! We had the largest turn out in our history of the meet-up (60 people!). We had many internal Bayer employees join us and we hope to do it again!IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Bayer security requires everyone to bring a photo ID to enter, so please register with a clear first/last name, that matches your ID.
- We don't debrief during the event because we want it to reflect a real-work-application as much as possible. However, our intention is that people leave with inspiration, connection, and some kind of insight - whatever the topic.
