On Tuesday the 13th February we are inviting all interested to join a talk about Microservices by Kai Spichale from SAP.

We assemble at 18:30 pm and we start the talk from Kai on "Microservices Architecture on the SAP Cloud Platform"at 19:00. Afterwards we are looking forward to discussions and socializing while enjoying food and cold beverages.

Abstract:

The SAP Community is a social network that is used by millions of SAP professionals per year. The whole platform is based on a Microservices architecture that runs on the SAP Cloud Platform, an enterprise platform-as-a-service. The Microservices are implemented as Self-Contained Systems that are integrated on UI-level and if necessary connected with lightweight messaging or REST APIs. The backbone of the system is a messaging cluster that ensures high availability and scalability. This talk presents major design decisions and explains how the SAP Cloud Platform is used to implement them. The SAP Community is used in this talk as a real-world example to describe general topics related to Microservices.
