Want to try the intensity, chaos, and exhilaration of medieval battles without bulky armor or choreography? Battle gaming (Belegarth, Dagorhir, Amtgard) is a full-speed free-style medieval combat form with easy rules. We use foam weapons with fiberglass or bamboo cores (no metal) so we can battle without protective gear. The main focus is the army vs. army battle, though capture the flag, free-for-alls, and other variations are common. This is not only fun and brings up the adrenaline, it's also a great work-out.
Anyone above 18 years can join, from 16 years only with written parental consent. Or just come out and watch.
Bring loose clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, several liters of water, and preferably solid footwear with ankle support.
