Speaker mentoring Workshop - Session 1 - Getting started with speaking
Details
Have you secretly always wondered what it would be like to be a speaker? But you’re not an expert on anything or you don’t have a clue what to speak about? Then here’s the thing for you: The OpenValue speaker mentoring program!
OpenValue has a number of very successful speakers in their ranks who have many international conferences under their belt. During the workshop they will give you tips & tricks so you can live up to your full potential.
The program is build up in two sessions. During the first session, the program is explained and the process of coming up with topics and ideas for your talk are discussed. Also the preparation of your presentation and the process of writing a great proposal to 'sell' your talk to the people you want to share your knowledge with, will be part of the agenda.
As soon as you sign up for this Meetup you are more than welcome to bring in your own questions and topics you want to have addressed.
We strive for a maximum level of interactivity during the workshop (despite it being online), so every input from your side is more than welcome!
After the first session you will have time to pick a subject, write a proposal and prepare a presentation yourself.
For the second session of the program, a selection of 10 presentations will be made. The people who got selected, will be offered the opportunity to practice your presentation to improve it. A short (5 minute) part of these presentations will be given by the makers and a short feedback round will be held subsequently.
