## Abstracts

A.I. Caramba: How to Maintain Sanity

After a few years I have seen algorithms fail in a wide array of situations. It’s been happening so often that I have started open sourcing some tools (brent, scikit-lego, evol) to try to remedy some parts of it. In this talk I would love to share how this package came to be, how it grew (we seem to have 2000 downloads a month) and how to maintain sanity in developing tools that can tango with the A.I. caramba.

2119: A Data Science Escape Room.

If you are doing yet another data science project and all of a sudden your most important tools are a driller, 11 kilograms of marbles and a bunch of secret compartment items, something extraordinary must have happened. In this talk, I would like to tell you how I ended up building a data science escape room for a DAX 30 company as a key initiative of their digital transformation journey. As the whole experience is based on Raspberry Pis and Python, I will focus on technical insights, talk about what equipment has proven itself and present some pitfalls that will probably come your way when you try to build an escape room for the first time in your life.
