Want to learn how to hack? pwn. ctf. hacking. infosec. and more! 💻

If you have no idea what we are talking about, don’t worry! We are also going to explain all these acronyms and more.

“I’m in” - That’s what hackers say in movies when they enter a system. “pwned!” (pronounced: powned, from owned) is the ‘cool’ way to say that - “owning” in the sense of conquered to gain ownership. We are going to introduce pwntools, a python CTFs framework, and an exploit development library. This framework is designed for prototyping of exploits making CTFs more entertaining and exploits easier to read.

About the pwntools:

Motivation: next time if you find yourself in a security competition, you hopefully get to say “pwned it!” yourself 👩‍💻

Start 2020 with Sarcasm Detection 🕵️

This is a high-level overview of the advances in the field, from when it started in ~2005 until now, what new datasets, models and features have been introduced, their improvements compared to the past versions and what the current stand is. Ideally, after the talk, the audience would have a general idea of what research in sarcasm detection is about and be able to understand new scientific papers that come in the future. If you are not familiar with NLP, do not worry! The talk will go through the basic concepts and how it is applied in this research field.

Motivation: it is not easy to identify sarcasm (at least if you are a machine), so let us learn more about how this can be done! 🤖
