#1 Futures for all! The Pioneers’ kickoff

We proudly kick off the 1st Swiss Chapter for the Global Movement «Speculative Futures», also known as Future Design, Critical Design etc.

A more conceptual approach to possible futures in business and society is urgently needed. Fortunately, there are already professionals and enthusiasts out there! Coming from many disciplines with a passion for designing and prototyping alternative future scenarios and having used creative and empathy-building methods for a long time. Is this you? Then we would love to see you at our kickoff-event for Speculative Futures Zurich.

Goal of this 1st Meetup:
Connecting the pioneers. How might we reach out to involve more stakeholders to design futures? The participants are the speakers – let’s share our experience and activities in future design.

Agenda:

• Introduction from the chapter organizers
• Short input: What is Speculative Design (basis for the common understanding)
• Each participant introduces him- or herself, let’s the others know about her experiences with speculative design and what topics, formats or collaborations he is interested in

From 2nd Meetup:

• Connecting everyone who is interested in Speculative Design, no prior knowledge of the method is needed.
• In each meetup we will discuss one topic, joined by inspiring speakers with inputs from various fields of knowledge.
