The mission of this group is to help entrepreneurs and marketers achieve better business results with data.
It is about creating data-driven companies and making data-based decisions.
The goals here are as follows:
1) to prepare your mindset for data & to get you up to speed with understanding the language of data,
2) to show you exact, step-by-step processes and formulas to scale up the growth of your business using various data solutions and models.
We welcome all entrepreneurs and marketers to join.
~~ The "WHY" behind this group
Being a grad student in data analysis, I'm bombared with a myriad of programmatic and also purely statistical techniques daily. Yes, those techniques are wonderful. Yes, they can do wonders in the business world. But in order to see real results, you need to craft the right mindset. And I can sense that when I talk to business people - they often don't know where to start.
Let me show you first what happens if you employ a wrong data mindset.
Business people that do it may have one or two analytical tools plugged in, but they treat it as another information provider, not a value generating machine.
Now, what happens if you turn your mindset into more data-positive one?
Instead of seeing your business as this huge black box, you start seeing it as a sequence of processes that can be measured. And improved. Without the mindset, you're blindly looking at the numbers. With the one, you're proactively strategizing what and how to measure next based on the previous experiments. It's a huge asset to have under your belt.
But in order to have a proper mindset, you first need to start understanding the language of data.
My opinion is that you can't do that just reading some articles on the web. You need to hear 'the natives', e.g. what people did with their data solutions and how they did it. You need to see case studies.
And that's why this group was founded. I have no interest rehashing what's been said online. You can always Google(TM) that. I want to provide unique value at a completely different level.
~~ The format of the meetup.
Since our "why" is pretty ambitious, the format needs to deliver too:).
Therefore, every meetup will have 3 parts: 30% pure learning (tutorials, lectures, etc.), 60% case studies for data science solutions presented in the learning part (panels, discussions, etc.), 10% networking.
Pure learning will consist of topics like digital analytics, churn analysis, predictive analytics, and more. But really this is the least important part. Once you have a proper mindset in place, you'll employ what works for you.
Sign up today, craft a proper data mindset and start seeing data-driven business results.
