Vespa is an engine developed to solve the problem of big data serving: Select and compute over large, evolving data sets at serving time. It is used to solve such tasks as personalized recommendation and search at large scale - hundreds of thousands of requests from end users per second and billions of documents.

Vespa is developed right here in Trondheim and was recently open sourced at http://vespa.ai/ .

Vespa's architect Jon Bratseth will hold a talk about Vespa. In addition, this will be an opportunity to meet others in the Vespa team, and the Big Data community in Trondheim - over a beer, as usual.
