WordPress Meetup: WordCamp Nordic warm-up

The WordPress Helsinki Meetup group aims to bring people of all skill levels together, from beginners to WordPress professionals. WordPress Helsinki is purely organised by community volunteers, and operates under the WordPress code of conduct.

The entire organising team has been hard at work for the past months and could use a little break. Now that WordCamp Nordic (https://2019.nordic.wordcamp.org/) is just around the corner, we were hoping to have a nice relaxed evening before the event and give a chance for some of the attendees to meet members from our local community.

We reserved some places at Villi Wäinö (https://foursquare.com/v/villi-w%C3%A4in%C3%B6/4b177c01f964a520dac523e3), which is located in the heart of the city. The bar serves food, but if you’re really hungry, you’re better off going to one of the restaurants nearby.

We’re probably going to stay there for a while don’t worry if you’re a bit late. When you get inside, follow the WordPress signs to the downstairs area and you should be able to find us.

For those of you who are not attending the conference, you are more than welcome to join us! Also if you have any WordPress-related issues that need resolving, bring your laptops along; there should be plenty of people there who will be able to help.

If you have any questions, leave a comment or contact us directly through the contact form on Meetup.com. You can also find us on Twitter @WPHelsinki (https://twitter.com/WPHelsinki) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WPHelsinki/). If you prefer a more direct approach, you can find most of the community members on the #meetups-helsinki channel on Slack.

See you on Wednesday!

The local Finnish Slack community is a great place to meet other WordPress enthusiasts online and get help and advice with WordPress-related issues.

We’ve written a brief introduction on our meetup page if you're interested in joining: https://www.meetup.com/WPHelsinki/pages/Slack/

If you’d like to speak at an upcoming meetup or suggest some topics you’d like to hear about, leave a comment on our meetup board (https://www.meetup.com/WPHelsinki/messages/boards/thread/49133846) or contact us on the #meetups-helsinki channel on Slack.

Our meetups are run by volunteers and could always use some support from the professional community. If your company is interested in sponsoring an upcoming meetup or hearing more about it, leave a message on the #meetups-helsinki channel on Slack or contact us directly through our meetup page.
