Events by womenandcode.org

Guess what? Women&&Code is starting into the new year with our first conference and a series of developer meetups!
W&&C is all about software engineering, security, developer experience, AI and of course women in tech ❤

The events are an opportunity for our community to encounter cutting-edge ideas, discover new interests and showcase the talent of the incredible women* experts. Join us for an event filled with inspiring talks by exclusively female* speakers, an intentional move to amplify the often underrepresented brilliance of women in tech.
All meetups will be held in English and are female-only.

    After an extended winter break, we will continue our Women And Code Meetup series in the new year with these amazing speakers:

    • Saara Hukka, full-stack developer && devOps at A1
      Saara comes from backend development and has recently made the switch to a DevOps role. She also currently helps in organizing the Feminist Linux Meetup.
      Her talk "Unprivileged container image builds" is about challenges in DevOps: After Google stopped maintaining the container build tool Kaniko, there has been a new surge of interest in unprivileged container builds. This talk will explore different ways to build Docker images within a container (such as in CI pipelines) and the security implications of running privileged Docker containers.
    • Catherine Weiländer, Product Manager for Developer Experience, GitHub.
      Catherine is a Product Manager with over 10 years experience of planning and shaping internal tooling for SMEs & enterprises.
      About her talk: "How to measure Developer Efficiency at GitHub" - With AI promising increases in efficiency and changing day to day operations, we needed to ask ourselves if the old way of measuring efficiency is still accurate. In this talk Cat explores how GitHub decided to measure developer efficiency through complementary human signals.
