(C++) build system olympics.

Hurray! This will be our one year anniversary. This meetup happens exactly one year after our first one.

We will celebrate this by making an experiment: a joint talk by all of us on build systems. Like many other languages C++ has to be compiled into a program. There is a great wealth of build system out there. Some of which we probably never heard of. But as a group we might be able to have practical experience in quite a few of them. The idea is that all of us contribute a few slides (about 4) on a build system they are using. All these slides together will be the talk and spawn fruitful discussions (no flame wars!) on the pros and cons, and give us a chance to learn from each other.

More on this format in a few days. There will be a git repository for the talk, an open licence, etc. We hope everybody is ready to contribute a few minutes of his/her time to make this a success.

Regular bi-monthly meetup of the C++ User group. Takes place on the fourth Thursday of every odd month.

We strive to have one big talk or a few lightning talks and afterwards will have a discussion on the talk and/or other topics around C++.

If you are stuck in one of your current problems or would like to discuss your current approach, please bring 1-3 slides for presenting it and we will try to help.

The room opens at 6:30 pm,shortly afterwards we start with an introduction of the participants and around 7 p.m. the talk begins. Please note that the main entrance closes automatically at 7 p.m. If you come later you have to get our attention somehow.

We have a new room that is more easy to find and hopefully more appropriate. It is the former cantina, located in the second floor (in German that is 1. Stock) directly above Cafe Leitstelle. Just climb up on flight of stairs and keep left.
