Hello Neurodivergent friends!
During Men’s Mental Health Month, I want to help raise awareness about the unique challenges men face regarding mental health. Many men feel pressure to stay silent, “tough it out,” or believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness.
Facts: 1 in 10 men experience anxiety and or depression, but less than half of those men will seek help.
Let’s break the stigma, start the conversation, and create safe, supportive spaces for men - this month and every month. Together, we can shift the conversation and support men’s mental health in real and meaningful ways.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
🗣️ What to Expect:
- Introductions: Begin with a short introduction about yourself and whatever you want to share with the group.
- Topic exploration: Often, I share a video, text, or exercise before we start sharing our experiences and chatting with other participants to self-reflect and take some time before we speak up.
- Sharing Time: This is an opportunity to share your thoughts, challenges, and victories and seek advice within the supportive circle. For larger groups, we may split into breakout rooms for more intimate discussions.
- Tips & Resources: Exchange valuable insights, tools, and resources to empower each other. All resources will be added under the group description, where I have already made a long list for you to use!
- Closing: Wrap up the meeting with gratitude and anticipation for the next gathering.
🤝 Group Rules:
- The meeting waiting time is a maximum of 5 minutes; after that, NOBODY will be allowed into the meeting room.
- For security reasons, members without a real name, picture, or history of past event attendance will be asked to confirm their identity before the event or may not be allowed to participate.
- Members who do not change their status to not going more than twice to give their place to others on the waiting list may be publicly marked as a no-show-
Kindness is our compass. Embrace the diversity of experiences within the group; everyone's journey is unique. Please let others talk and share; this is not a monologue but a group sharing, and we have limited time.
