Annual Meeting and Program: Juste un autre pigeon à Paris

Details

Annual Meeting

The annual meeting, which includes the election of nine directors of the board, will precede the monthly program. Members of the AF du North Shore as of April 1 are eligible to vote in the election and on other matters. A member who is unable to attend the annual meeting may give a proxy vote in writing to another attending member. Attending members may cast up to two proxy votes each and should give their proxies to Secretary Mike Johnson at this meeting.

Program

Pres Maxson will speak about his writings, his love of Paris and his two novels, "Bender at the Bon Parisien" and "Pigeon," both set in Paris, which have sold over 3,500 copies. Pres was nominated as a best local author in 2016 and 2017 by Indianapolis’ "NUVO Magazine."

Maxson is originally from Riverwoods, Illinois, and graduated from Deerfield High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Iowa and a Master of Business Administration from Butler University. Maxson works as a copywriter in Indianapolis. His grandmother and aunt were both collegiate French professors, which is one of the reasons he spent so much time in Paris growing up. He has been a lifelong student of French.

Paperback and Kindle versions of both books are available on Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/y8xzcrlh
