Title: Self-Adapting Language Models
Track: Continoual Learning
Content: To address the static nature of large language models (LLMs), a new framework called Self-Adapting LLMs (SEAL) has been developed. SEAL allows LLMs to continuously adapt by generating their own fine-tuning data and instructions for updates in response to new information or tasks. This self-editing process, refined through reinforcement learning based on performance, directly modifies the model's weights. Experiments demonstrate that SEAL is a significant advancement towards creating language models that can independently evolve and improve.

In the Paper Discussion Group (PDG) we discuss recent and fundamental papers in the area of machine learning on a weekly basis. If you are interested, please read the paper beforehand and join us for the discussion. If you have not fully understood the paper, you can still participate – everyone is welcome! You can join the discussion or simply listen in. The discussion is in German or English depending on the participants.
