Title: AlphaEvolve: A coding agent for scientific and algorithmic discovery
Content: AlphaEvolve is an evolutionary coding agent that uses multiple LLMs to autonomously improve algorithms through iterative code modifications and feedback. Applied to Google's systems, it optimized data center scheduling, simplified hardware designs, and accelerated LLM training. The system discovered novel algorithms surpassing state-of-the-art solutions in mathematics and computer science, including the first improvement to matrix multiplication efficiency in 56 years. AlphaEvolve demonstrates the potential for AI coding agents to significantly impact scientific and computational problem-solving.
