Female Founder AMA: How do you start your own company?

Anyone can start a company. However, only 15% of all start-up founders in Europe are female. At APX, we receive 2000 applications from early-stage startups each year, and the vast majority of these come from male-only founding teams. As a result, only 20 % of the companies we have invested in had at least one female founder on their team.

We want to work with the best founders and aim to create equal opportunities for everyone. But we also believe we can do even more to support more (aspiring) female and mixed founding teams kick off projects and receive investments by demystifying the entrepreneurial journey and making ourselves available for free guidance.

This time, the panelists taking questions are:

• Anna Banicevic, CEO & Co-Founder at Zizoo.com - the leading global boat holiday platform. Anna spent 7 years at Google before she decided to follow her passion for sailing and entrepreneurship and founded Zizoo.

• Jonas Vossler, founder of Flow Lab - the digital mental coach for peak performance and flow states. After researching flow states in the area of applied game science, Jonas decided to combine his business background with his passion for motivational psychology and go on a mission to make professional mental fitness training accessible to everyone, everywhere.

• Eliza-Marija Hirvensalo, Co-Founder at Dogo - the companion app for dog parents. Eliza has over five years of experience in different business roles with high-growth companies like Rocket Internet, Memorado and HeyJobs, and she has worked with clients like Deutsche Bahn, 1&1 and more.
