Artist Meet & Greet - artist talks open call

ABOUT:

Join us to learn about the work of some of Berlin's local artists. While the city has a vibrant art world, there is lacking for networking opportunities and a support system for artists.

For every event, 5 Artists, emerging & established, are selected to present their work to an art-focused group by submitting their portfolios and CV. The talk should be given in ENGLISH as we encourage international artists to get to know each other, network, and share what their practices are about.

The events will also be published on Instagram with the presenters' information to further expand the network!

ARTIST TALK FORMAT:

Artists are encouraged to give a prepared presentation about their art practices and then engage in a short Q&A about their work. The presentation should include images and limited text. Video and sound are also welcome but the talk should be 15 min max.

WHO SHOULD APPLY:

Whether it's painting, digital, performance, installations, sound, etc. The idea is to connect artists in order to not just share our practices, but foment discourse about art in context, culture, the larger art world, and its role in society.

Artists who are looking to network and share are encouraged to apply. This will be maintained as a safe space for artists to dialogue.

WHO CAN ATTEND:

All art enthusiasts are welcome! We encourage non-artists to come to listen and participate, curators, collectors, and enthusiasts the like! The art world is composed of many actors and we encourage dialogue between everyone.

While artists will be selected to give artist talks, if you have an art-related project that is relevant to the group, please feel free to submit a proposal for consideration.
