AWS access management using AWS organization & Event-driven architectures on AWS

Details

It's time to meetup again 🎉! Join our AWS User Group Stuttgart meetup @ Zoi Stuttgart !

1st Topic: AWS root access management using AWS Organizations
Description:
For years, securing and managing highly privileged root user credentials across numerous AWS accounts has been a significant challenge for security teams. Manual processes for rotation, secure storage, and compliance checks were exhausting, prone to errors, and introduced delays in account provisioning. The need to retrieve and use long-term root credentials for specific actions like unlocking S3 bucket policies also increased the attack risks.
But those days are over! AWS has launched a new solution that empowers security teams to gain secure, scalable, and compliant control over root access across their AWS Organizations. Join our session to explore the new features of Organizations management introduced by AWS.

2nd Topic: Event-driven architectures on AWS
Description:
Event-driven architectures (EDA) are very popular these days. They offer many advantages such as simple expandability, decoupling of sender and receiver and good scalability. However, practice shows that there are many different ideas about what actually constitutes an EDA and what is important when designing such an architecture. In this talk, we will therefore first explain what an EDA is and which questions should be clarified when introducing such an architecture. We will then look at how to implement an EDA in the AWS environment. We will provide tried-and-tested tips and point out typical pitfalls.
About the speakers:
