1st Talk: Kiro: From Vibe-Coding to Structured AI-powered Development
AI-powered development tools promise faster software development. But often the structure is missing: the generated code works, but nobody knows exactly why — or how it relates to the original requirements.
Kiro is a new IDE from AWS that takes a different approach: before any code is written, you define requirements and design together with the AI. This gives the AI context, leading to more relevant results. "Kiro is like a new developer joining your team — you share the important project knowledge before they start coding."
This session combines a conceptual introduction with live demonstrations — showing how to go from an idea to working code with Kiro.
No prior knowledge required — all concepts will be explained.

2nd Talk: Data in Motion: The When & How of Streaming on AWS
Not every data problem needs streaming – but when it does, you'd better get it right. In this session, we'll explore when real-time processing truly makes sense and when batch is the smarter (and cheaper) choice.
We'll cover common pitfalls like "streaming for streaming's sake" underestimated complexity, and hidden costs. Along the way, we'll compare different streaming options on AWS.
