Power BI @ the enterprise

During this session, some selected topics will be discussed if Power BI will be established as a Business Intelligence tool in a large organization. This session is not just about choosing the appropriate Azure based services like Azure Analysis Services vs. on-premises data services. This session is also discussing organizational challenges, that have to be overcome to make the Power BI adoption a real success. Besides some general topics also some specific aspects will be discussed, like the integration of on-premises data sources using the on-premises data gateway, the sharing of content with people outside your organization.

Thomas "Tom" Martens has been awarded as a MSFT Data Platform MVP and currently works as Principal Consultant BI & Analytics at Devoteam Alegri GmbH (https://www.devoteam-alegri.eu/).

For 20+ years Tom delivers Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Analytics solutions. His current interest is about the visualization of data and applying analytical methods to small and large amounts of data. Tom is a regular speaker at user group meetings, SQL Saturdays, and SQL Server Konferenz.
