Bear Radio Podcasting Intensive

In this interactive course, participants will be guided through the process of producing their own podcast, culminating in the creation of their first complete episode. Taught by Jill Beytin and Julia Joubert of Bear Radio, this six session Podcasting Intensive will give participants all the tools and skills necessary to develop a podcast idea, from start to finish, and bring it to life. The course will wrap up with a listening party where you will get to show off your hard work and ultimately have your first episode published on the Bear Radio network!

Cost: Early Bird - 150 EUR + Eventbrite fees (before January 15), Standard - 170 EUR + Eventbrite fees.

Classes Included:

Saturday, February 8: Planning your podcast - Podcasting formats, concept and reporting plan development. (2.5 hours)
Sunday, February 9: Finding your Voice for Podcasting - Interview skills and voice training. (2.5 hours).
Sunday, February 16: Recording + Editing Basics - How to use recording gear and editing software. (4 hours.)
{Recording Week} - Bear Radio will be lending students recording equipment to do interviews at home during the week.
Saturday, February 22: Bear Radio office hours and Recording assistance - Jill and Julia will be available for the day to sit with you individually to iron out any issues, or answers any questions you have.
Saturday, February 29: Marketing and Monetizing Your Podcast (2.5 hours). Jill & Julia again be available for the day to assist you with final touches.
Sunday, March 1: Wrap up and listening party. (2 hours).

Cost includes: 13.5 hours of instruction, equipment rental, a three month trial license of Hindenburg editing software, Q&A via Slack, in person office hour drop ins, coffee and tea!
