GeoNight June 2019: Google Earth and Maps

Details
We are very happy to announce the third installment of our GeoNight meetup, taking place in Hamburg this month! The topic will be "Google Earth and Maps" and we have a really great line-up with guests from Google.
The event is organized by Ubilabs and will be hosted in their brand new office space. It’s located in the beautiful Bieberhaus right next to Hamburg central station. Drinks & food will be provided, of course.
# Topics and speakers:
- "Google Maps Platform" – Alex Muramoto
An overview of the Google Maps Platform, including APIs/SDKs and data coverage. Alex is a Developer Advocate for Google Maps Platform. At this point, his life has been pretty much consumed by JS, open-source, and way too much documentation.
- "Google Maps and deck.gl" – Martin Kleppe
Deck.gl is a WebGL-powered framework for visual exploratory data analysis of large datasets. Ubilabs will showcase some impressive demos that make use of the new custom layer on top of Google Maps. Martin is the Head of Development at Ubilabs.
- "Google Earth Engine" – Chris Herwig
Turning petabytes of satellite imagery into insights with Google Earth Engine. Chris is a geo data engineer for Google Earth Outreach and the primary engineer behind Google Earth Timelapse, a global, zoomable time-lapse video of the entire planet since 1984.
- "Google Earth Voyager" – Vanessa Schneider
Learn about Voyager, Google Earth's home for guided tours, games and data layers by the world's leading storytellers and scientists. Vanessa joins us from Google HQ in Mountain View, California, where she spends her time thinking about maps, wine, and the next book she's gonna read (recs welcome!).
# Timetable
