Bubbly in the Park!

Hello Everybody,
Now that we can meet up again, I hope that you are all healthy and ready for some responsible in-person socialising.
I propose that we sample six sensational sparklers from Portugal, France (a genuine Champagne and a Blanquette de Limoux), Spain, Germany and England - don’t worry, the bottle came over long before Coronavirus started.
I’ll explain how they are all made, let you know what flavours you are supposed to be experiencing, and tell you a bunch of amazing stories about the geography and history of these fascinating regions. You’ll be able to access the tasting notes, maps and photos on your smartphones.
To make sure that we all feel comfortable, let’s meet in Tiergarten and limit the event to 12 people so that we can form a circle with some distance between us. You may like to bring your own glass too (although I will have spares).
You should also bring your own food – my suggestions are:
- Salty snacks like crisps and nuts
- Seafood, e.g. smoked salmon or prawns
- Double or triple fat cheese, such as Brie or Brillat-Savarin respectively
- Salami or pâté
- Strawberries, fruit tarts or buttery biscuits
The cost for the wine, organisation and info is just 25€!
