Welcome!
This Jungian discussion group is intended as a small and personal space to foster deep thought and genuine connections among regulars. While many groups in Berlin focus on making as many new connections as possible, this one offers a different kind of experience—emphasizing continuity and quality over quantity.

If the weather is nice, we’ll meet at the Denkmal für Karl und Rosa Liebknecht in Tiergarten at 15:30 sharp for a nice spot for a picnic, enjoying the Berlin summer and good company and talks with an iced coffee or beer. Time to touch some grass! - Please bring something to sit on, a snack/drink and a pen.

Theme: Fairytale analysis of The Ugly Duckling, inspired by Women Who Run With the Wolves by Jungian psychoanalyst Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
We’ll begin with a short retelling of the story and some reflections from Estés’ analysis, then open into a free-flowing conversation around the themes of exile, resilience, and finding where you belong.

(In case of bad weather we will keep the time and move the location to The Visit, Knesebeckstr. 35, 10623 Berlin.)

Priority is given to returning members, but newcomers are warmly invited to join by answering these brief questions:

  1. Have you read or watched anything by C.G. Jung or Marie-Louise von Franz?
  2. If not, what draws you to Jungian psychology?
  3. Have you read (or will you read) the event theme in the photo album or link? https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3811et952w1jtdyqt7xv6/The-Ugly-Duckling.pdf?rlkey=dqnrqed1dblunyo600757d1lv&st=7uzg57n6&dl=0.
The criteria is not the level of Jungian expertise, but the level of interest and how much participants resonate with the group’s concept.

Please check the status of your RSVP before attending. If the meeting is full and/or you’re moved to the waitlist/not going, we kindly ask that you wait for the next session—we’d love to have you join in the future!
(The final attendance list is decided based on the answers and number of people.)
