I am excited to invite you to our new workshop in November!

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we’ll begin to explore the quiet magic of winter. In this workshop, we’ll paint snowy cities and peaceful landscapes, learning how to suggest the sparkle of frost and the softness of snow using delicate washes and subtle tones.

We’ll experiment with cool greys, soft blues, and glowing light to create that cosy winter atmosphere — from trees and animals in white fields to houses and streets blanketed in snow. You’ll discover how to paint snow without painting it, using contrast, layering, and the gentle technique of negative space.

It’s a calm, reflective workshop — perfect for embracing the early winter mood and learning how to let watercolours capture the hush and beauty of the season. We will observe the work of different artists and illustrators (like John Shea in the image above) to learn their particular tricks and how they recreated the magic of snow in their works.

🫖 A lovely way to ease into the colder months, surrounded by warmth, colour, and creativity.
