HOW IT WORKS

The event is structured in two parts:

— TALK: Short game-related presentations + announcements from the community

— PLAY: All participants are welcome to exhibit games and projects they've made

THE TALKS

Morphcat Games will present Micro Mages, their upcoming 4-player NES game. What is it like to make a game 40KB big? How to work within the limitations of a console from the 80s? Come and find out! In the meantime, make sure to check out the Kickstarter campaign they're currently running to raise funds for manufacturing the cartridges: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/morphcat-games/micro-mages-a-new-game-for-the-nes

Morphcat Games is a two-man team bouncing around Berlin, dedicated to bringing new games to the NES: Julius Riecke does the programming and sound while Nicolas Bétoux creates graphics and levels. Spending nights and weekends on projects powered by sushi and pizza.

After the talk, we'll have some "pitching" sessions, during which a selection of game makers will briefly present their projects, that you'll be able to play in the second part of the evening.

As usual, there will also be a section dedicated to short announcements from the community – get in touch to reserve a spot: http://berlingamescene.com/contact/
