Summer is back and its time to get some cycles going again....
We start with a loop round to the East to enjoy a swim in the Dahme and visit some of Berlin’s industrial heritage.
Berlin’s Industrial Heritage Day has just passed so it feels like an appropriate moment to visit some of the neglected gems that are scattered everywhere around the town. We will start heading South on my favourite route out of town, then head back checking out some of the old factories, breweries and other industrial heritage along the Spree river as we go. Coffee and Cake will be at the Industrial Salon in Schone Wiede (cafe and museum), where you can find out all about the history and development of the area, The route will also include a ferry ride, a swim stop and beer and food stop.
The Cycling
We are a not a racing bike group, but the pace is reasonable. Expect between 18 and 22 km per hour depending on who comes on the day.
Bring a good bike (doesn’t have to be special just in good order. All sports bikes can take part from tour bike, racers to mountain bikes. Heavy 3 speed city bikes would not be appropriate however).

Bring swim stuff, suncream, spare inner tube for your tyre size, cash, waterproofs
