Hi friends. Going to do something similar to what we did a couple of weeks ago, but this time the Westerly Version.
We 'tee off' at T Hof again (start at Tempelerhof). This time heading to Teltow canal and down towards Wannsee. Then looping up the side of the Havel River into Spandau and back into town along the canal ending Wedding S-Bahn. Lots Beer gardens a few swim stops. We will chose one about half way through and then might have a beer stop near the end too.
Along the way we will see many sights of industrial culture. Including:
Siemens Villa, Steglitz Power Station, Kleinmachow Lock, Schwanenwerder Insel. If we have time we may have a look at Siemens Statt on the way back - to continue our efforts to view all the UNESCO Siedlungs of Berlin
The Cycling
We are a not a racing bike group, but the pace is reasonable. Expect between 18 and 22 km per hour depending on who comes on the day.
Bring a good bike (doesn’t have to be special just in good order. All sports bikes can take part from tour bike, racers to mountain bikes. Heavy 3 speed city bikes would not be appropriate however).
What to Bring
Bring swim stuff, suncream, spare inner tube for your tyre size, cash, waterproofs
