Title: From Zero to Abstract Nonsense - Hopes, Fears and Experiences of a Haskell greenhorn

Abstract: Having recently started to learn Haskell, I would like to share why I got interested, what I hope to achieve and how the learning experience went so far. This should be encouraging for anyone who did not yet dare to, but would like to get into Haskell, as well as entertaining for seasoned Haskellers.

The speaker: With some good years of experience in various companies and projects, mostly working with dynamically typed languages and a strong passion for Clojure, I recently started to learn Haskell. Most specifically, I want to find out how the powerful, strong type system fits into my endeavour to improve maintainability and extensibility of production software.
