Details

On Sunday, the sky is predicted to be clear, the sun will set early, and there will be new moon - perfect conditions for stargazing! Our hike will start in Rathenow. As the night draws near, we will walk through the Sternenpark Westhavelland, an area known for its low level of light pollution. With a bit of luck, we should be able to see the milky way.

How to get there

  • Take the train RE4 to Rathenow, Bahnhof (arrival 13:54). This where the hike will start. We will meet on the platform.
  • The hike will end in Nennhausen, from where we will take the train back to Berlin. The end time in the description is just an estimation.

You may want to bring

  • A light source, i.e. an electric torch
  • Something to eat and drink
  • An appropriate ticket (recommendation: Deutschlandticket)
  • Warm clothes - it can get quite cold at night!
