火馬 hike through Märkische Schweiz (19 km hike)
Details
Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like Saturday could actually feel like the first spring weather day of the year. And, fittingly, it is still spring festival season. So, let's hike once again through the exiting landscape of the Märkische Schweiz and possibly during sunset see some horses in front of a fire red sky.
The Märkische Schweiz is a unique landscape in Brandenburg; formed by the ice age, it is a very wavy landscape with many hills and lakes. It is one of Berlin's horse paddock areas, on some days, you will see many horses on the hilly meadows there.
We'll meet on Saturday at 12:18 at the railway station Obersdorf. You can reach this by taking the RB 26 train. The RB 26 departs from Lichtenberg at 11:38.
From Obersdorf, we'll walk along ...
- the Haussee
- the Münchehofer sand dune
- the Klobichsee
- the Däbersee
At the end of our hike, we will come through the horse paddock of Dahmsdorf, if we're lucky roughly during sun-set time.
We will take back the train from Müncheberg, likely the train leaving at 17:49.
Important things to note:
- This is an average hike with a relatively long distance. Thus, you should wear suitable shoes. Expect quite snow wet and muddy ground at some places.
- You are all responsible for yourself. None of us is mountain guide or something like that.
- There won't be too many Späties around, so have enough water and food with you.
- BVG will be on strike, so you must depend on S-Bahn and railways to get to the meeting point.
