Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, started in 2009 with a small following of people with a vision to have a sound money (fixed supply) peer to peer digital cash.

In 2017 Bitcoin diverged into two chains, both with the same history. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is following the 'cash' use-case.
