BrowserStack Software Testing and QA meetup - July

Hello Munich,
We are excited to announce the BrowserStack community meet-up, where you'll have the opportunity to connect with the finest QA professionals in the city.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced tester, this session will help you level up your testing strategies.
This time, we are hosting two speakers with very different experience in testing. The first, an especially exciting talk, will be presented by Stefan Dirnstorfer. An expert in the field, he will shed light on the fascinating topic of algorithms for using images in test automation.
The second speaker is Anastasia Cherkashyna, who is at the beginning of her testing career.
She will share her experiences in QA from a beginner's perspective.

🎤 18:30 Session 1: "Visual software testing - Working with images, algorithms and AI" presented by Stefan Dirnstorfer
✅ The visual appearance of software on screen is the final test for its correctness.
✅ Checking visual features on graphical representations is surprisingly difficult to automate.
✅ Most algorithms react overly sensitive to minor scale and position changes, yet they fail at detecting the pixel changes that turn a 5 into an 8.
✅ Recent progress in LLMs, such as Claude Sonnet, have enabled the precise interaction with a user interface, accurately directing clicks, hovers and keypresses.
✅ The surprising limitations of various approaches for something that seems so natural and so obvious to us humans.
