Agile: Adhering to Principles or Embracing Pragmatism
It's important to dispel a common misconception: there isn't a single "Agile book" that outlines a rigid set of rules for Agile methodologies. Agile is grounded in the Agile Manifesto, which encompasses four core values and twelve guiding principles. These values and principles are purposefully open-ended, offering a philosophical foundation rather than a prescriptive methodology.
This leads us to a critical question: Should an Agile approach be strictly implemented according to its principles, or should we embrace what could be termed "Agile Pragmatism"? That is, contextualizing the Agile mindset within the unique characteristics of an organization or product.
