The Ember.js framework gives you the tools to create apps that will grow, scale, and evolve for years to come - in addition to being great for quick builds of hobby apps. Over the years, coworkers come and go, business requirements change, complexity creeps in, and the number of lines of code increase. But this doesn't mean your app needs a rewrite. A garden that is overgrown doesn't need a bulldozer. I'll show a case study of upgrading and refactoring an older, open source Ember app to use Octane, and share strategies that I use at my work maintaining a different codebase with 200k+ lines.
