3# Camunda Meetup Vienna 2021 - Improve your Camunda usage: a practical session
Details
Hey, Camundos all over the world!
We are back for our final Camunda Meetup Vienna of this year! In this digital Christmas edition, we want to go back to the roots and focus on the practitioners among our friends. Therefore, we packed our suitcase with not only one but two live demos to two current Camunda topics.
Within two sessions three experts within the area of process automation with Camunda are going to give you deeper insights into how to improve your usage of Camunda.
The first session is held by Niall Deehan and Tobias Conz, two experts directly from Camunda, and is all about how to optimize the maintenance of your process automation engine.
The second session is held by Maximilian Kamenicky, a well-known speaker at several Meetups and software developer and consultant at J-IT, one of the Camunda Vienna Meetup organizers.
We are looking forward to seeing you again and don´t forget to RSVP,
Peter, Maximilian, Stephan

SESSION DETAILS
- Racing Camunda Engine – Managing Human Workflows
(Niall Deehan and Tobias Conz)
Every engine needs humans to take care of it. Racing teams that maintain race cars have to monitor the car’s engine for problems, control the engine so it performs optimally, and upgrade it for better performance. The same is true of your process automation engine team. At Camunda, we want to ensure that people are only involved in process automation when they’re truly required, instead of doing busywork to maintain their engine. In this session, we’ll look at how you can optimize human workflows, including a live demo. - Element Templates in the Camunda Modeler – a live demo
(Maximilian Kamenicky)
Camunda Platform offers a feature that allows the development of "ready to use" process modules with the so-called element templates. With this feature, any business department can automate any process in record time and reduce the times they consult a development team. All of this is possible by connecting existing code via templates in the Camunda Modeler. A template act as a mask, i.e. hiding complexity from the business department and presenting fields for custom configuration.
On the one hand, this boosts the process creation time and enables a form of low-code feature. And on the other hand, the actual implementation still depends on active development, allowing for all existing routines of software to be developed. The main goal is to reduce time-to-market in process automation projects, and not only that, the whole organization can benefit from it and delegate the creation of process models evenly to all teams.
Want to know more about how to start with this? Join this presentation to see how to create element templates and how it benefits processes and how low-code and pro-code work hand in hand.
