Details

We are finally back from hibernation! We'll be meeting irl. There will be jokes about parentheses and talks about Clojure, ClojureScript or whatever the hell you want really, just like the old days.

NOTE THE NEW LOCATION

Desktop UI with Clojure (Nikita Prokopov)

In this talk we’ll demonstrate Humble UI, a brand-new way of building desktop apps in Clojure that doesn’t rely on the web ecosystem or any of the existing cross-platform UI frameworks. We’ll talk about graphical stack, OS integration, layout, performance, REPL-driven UI development, and also some unique twists you probably always wanted in the UI framework but didn’t know to ask for.

Nikita has been programming in Clojure, Java, Python, Erlang for 17 years, been interested in UI/UX design for about the same amount of time, and created a few notable projects, including DataScript, Rum and Fira Code.

Clojure Notebooks in Calva (Lukas Domagala)

Lukas Domagala will demonstrate Clojure Notebooks in Calva, a new feature. The idea is to be able to use actual `.clj` files as notebooks inside the normal Calva experience.

Lukas is a tooling fanatic, who’s lucky enough to be paid to do it in Clojure. He’s one of the maintainers of Calva and omni-trace and helps out on other Clojure tooling projects
