Hello fellow Cloud Native and Kubernetes enthusiasts,

we are thrilled to announce our next Kubernetes & Cloud Native Aachen Meetup! Since fall last year we are hosting our events under the umbrella of an official CNCF chapter.

Cloud Native enthusiasts from Aachen are coming together on August 21st, 2025, at Ericsson Eurolab, Herzogenrath. Let us enjoy a fun evening of technical deep dives on cloud-native technologies, CNCF and good food! While the program will start at 7pm, our doors will be open from 6:30pm.

Talks:
Our first talk by Simon Ostendorf, working student in the container platform team at CANCOM Managed Services GmbH, will highlight new and existing Kubernetes features for Identity and Secrets Management. With an example of a Kubelet Credentials Provider using the new "Service Account Token for Image Pulls"-Feature introduced as alpha in 1.33 he will showcase how the community uses KEPs to bring new features to Kubernetes. Do you want to learn more about integrating Kubernetes with external Secrets Stores like OpenBao / Hashicorp Vault? Then this is the talk for you!

Our second talk will be on "Expanding Kubernetes Networking for Telco CNFs" by Ingo Meirick from Ericsson. The presentation will highlight ongoing activities and use cases within the Kubernetes community that are driving the multi-networking enhancements.

Ericsson GmbH is proud to host the August edition of Cloud Native Aachen meetup and warmly welcomes all of you to the office at Ericsson-Allee 1, 1 Ericsson-Allee, Herzogenrath, 52134 on August 21st.

Please be aware that for security and compliance purposes at the venue, we need to provide your full name and affiliation for preparing the visitor badges. So, we REQUIRE attendees to register through the event page with your full name and affiliation updated in your profile. No other personal information other than this will be shared.
If you would like to attend but do not consent to your name being shared with the venue, please email us at meetups@cloudnative.ac. Please note that you will then have to directly share your information with the venue at the welcome desk anyway.

Travel:
The venue is at Ericsson-Allee 1, 1 Ericsson-Allee, Herzogenrath, 52134. To reach by public transport, we recommend taking Bus No 47 from Aachen Bushof and lines RB20 from Aachen Hbf, with returning options at the end of the event.

We look forward to seeing those of you who attended one of our past meetups and are excited to welcome new participants on this journey! Feel free to invite your colleagues and friends to join us.
