Exploring AI Agents in Practice with Real-World Use Cases

Details

Join us for an evening at the forefront of artificial intelligence, where we dive into the rapidly evolving world of AI Agents — autonomous, goal-driven systems reshaping software architecture, automation, and human-computer interaction.
We have two talks in store, one giving background on AI Agents and how to create them, and another to showcase a real-world use case to improve incident resolution with AI agents.

THIS MEETUP WILL BE HYBRID. | Zoom Link is visible for remote attendees when available.

*** AGENDA ***

  • 6:00-6:30 PM | Doors open. Grab some snacks & drinks.
  • 6:30 PM | Welcome & Intro Start of the hybrid meetup
  • 6:35 PM | Prompt, James Prompt: For your AIs only - an introduction to (00) Agents. by Jan Bender (Software Architect, QAware GmbH)
  • around 7:35 PM | Leveraging AI as an Intelligent Assistant for 24/7 Incident Resolution by Bastian de Groot and Benjamin Hofmann (Co-Founders of hyground)
  • afterwards: More snacks & drinks, and a lot of time for networking with all attendees and speakers.

*** ABSTRACTS ***

Prompt, James Prompt: For your AIs only - an introduction to (00) Agents. by Jan Bender (Software Architect, QAware GmbH)

This talk is about the next AI hype topic: AGENTS! With the ‘licence to think’, they master complicated challenges - even in teams.

We will give a theoretical introduction, explain the principles and functions of agents and look at the problems that agents are supposed to solve.
In a practical part, we create our own agent and have it work for Her Majesty.

Finally, we give our assessment of how agents are relevant for existing and future customer projects. Spoiler: The world is not enough!

Leveraging AI as an Intelligent Assistant for 24/7 Incident Resolution by Bastian de Groot and Benjamin Hofmann (Co-Founders of hyground)

Hyground is a multi-agent system that integrates seamlessly with AWS services to simplify IT operations. It takes the incident description as input and guides the DevOps Engineer through the necessary steps to resolve the incident.

This talk breaks down the complexity levels of multi-agent architectures and shows how to implement them using AWS Bedrock, Claude, Amazon EKS, and LangGraph. We’ll take a look at best practices and pitfalls when designing these systems.
