Jamstack is conquering the Web! Measuring sites performance & API mesh + RAFFLE!

This time we are joined by two Jamstack experts Tamas Piros (UK) and Jaden Baptista (USA). Tamas and Jaden will present two talks on different aspects of the Jamstack technology.

For those who are not yet familiar with the Jamstack - it's a new web stack where static HTML pages are distributed across a CDN network and load Javascript frontend, which retrieves data via APIs. You can't DDoS it, you can't hack it. This is the future. Period.

TALK NO. 1

The first talk will be held by Tamas Piros. One of the core promises of the Jamstack architecture is to bring faster websites to end users. But how can we measure performance and make sure that a site performs well? What techniques exist that we can leverage to make sites even faster? During this talk we’ll take a look at tools and techniques that developers can use today to make any site perform better by exploring hands-on examples.

Tamas is a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies and a Developer Experience Engineer. He has more than a decade of experience delivering technical training to large, prestigious organisations. TALK NO. 2

The second talk will be held by Jaden Baptista. API Meshes: Fixing the APIs for Jamstack. We love the Jamstack for it's simplicity, but really, while JavaScript (J) and Markup (M) are simple, APIs (A) just aren't. They're inconsistent and difficult to work with.

But in the Jamstack world, we pride ourselves on finding simple solutions to complex problems. In this talk, you'll be introduced to that solution: the API Mesh.
