Leisurely Walk for Beginners (2.2 Km) Along the Rhine

Hi everyone,

Spring has arrived early, and the weather is wonderful!
Let's take advantage of this opportunity to go on a short, slow beginners' walk, starting and ending in Cologne Deutz.

We'll meet at the equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm. From there, we'll cross the Hohenzollern Bridge and head south alongside the Rhine. We'll walk until we reach the first bridge, the Deutzer Bridge, just before Heumarkt. After crossing back to the other side of the Rhine, we will head north again towards the Hyatt Hotel and return to the equestrian statue.
The route is approximately 2.2 km long and should take about 45 minutes.

There are some nice cafés, bars and restaurants along the way, so we can stop wherever we want or grab a drink afterwards. We could also continue to the observation deck of the Cologne Triangle Building. From there, you can enjoy wonderful views of the city and the cathedral (entry costs €5).
