Talk: Back to Basics - Following the Substitution Failure Is Not an Error Principle (SFINAE) Using std::enable_if
It's easy to forget the mechanics of std::enable_if, especially since C++20 offers concepts. In the automotive industry, we are still stuck with older C++ standards. Therefore, we will revisit the SFINAE principle, explain how std::enable_if works under the hood and use it to solve a simple problem from our daily work. By the end of the talk, we will be able to use std::enable_if to ensure SFINAE, without needing to fix incorrect Copilot suggestions first.
