Jupyter Dashboard Sprint

From 23–25 September 2024 we are planning a sprint on Jupyter Dashboards in our Freiburg office.
Many Python libraries can be used to create static HTML pages. In data scienceprojects, however, it is often necessary to provide research results with live data that the audience can interact with in order to explore and analyse data inmore detail. Jupyter notebooks can be used as an editing system for such a web application, which can also be used productively. Several libraries are available for dashboarding these notebooks. The best known are:

• Panel based on Bokeh and Param.
• Voilà with interactive and customised Jupyter widgets and a flexible template system.

In this sprint, we want to find out which libraries are best suited for which purposes and how the dashboards can be meaningfully integrated into the data science process.
