Maps in Data Visualization

The second Data Visualization MeetUp is coming very soon! ✨

Come and join us for our Data Viz Meetup in Hamburg. This time it will be all about Maps in Data Viz.

This time we'll meet at Ubilabs (Heidi-Kabel-Platz 2).

• Martin, a co-founder of Ubilabs, will give a talk on how to create visualizations with the Google Maps API. He'll tell us about everything from managing datasets in the cloud to animating millions of points using WebGL for dynamic visualizations. Martin is a recognized 'Google Developer Expert' for the Google Maps Platform and known for his innovative projects like the spinning globe code in 1024 bytes of JavaScript.
• With Nina we will get our hands dirty and visualize our world views on a piece of paper. Surprises about yourself included! – Nina is a designer for data visualizations and digital products and she already drew a map on a banana.
• And, just as last time, we'll have lots of time to chat, network, and get to know other data viz nerds.

⚠️ Please bring your own coloured pencils for the workshop.

The event is in-person only, in English language and free of charge. The main program will finish around 8pm but feel free to stick around and chat. Drinks and some snacks will be provided. Please sign up for the event, so we can estimate how many people are joining.
