Data Council Berlin Picnic #1: Data Stacks Volume I

Details
Hi everyone,
remote meetups don’t really work for Daniel & me. So we want to try something else: A PICNIC IN THE PARK. With proper distancing, your own drinks & food.
We don’t plan to have presentations/ slides. Instead, we want to interview 2 to 3 people about the DATA STACKS of their companies. We think it is always interesting to hear what others are doing and it is a good topic for an outside event. If it works well then we’ll do it again.
We will ask questions like this:
- What is the organizational setup of their data teams?
- What analytics / machine learning use cases do they have?
- What technologies do they use for data ingestion, storage & processing?
- How do people access data?
- How do they serve ML models?
- How do they tackle data governance?
And of course your own questions!
WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS FORMAT! Please talk to us. You don't have to prepare anything, we will ask you questions.
In order to make people comfortable about joining the event: we insist that EVERYBODY (except the person currently speaking) WEARS A MASK all time and that EVERYBODY KEEPS at least 2 meters DISTANCE from each other.
What to bring? Something to sit on comfortably if you don’t mind standing, your own drinks/ snacks, warm clothes/ rain protection.
Location is the small meadow west of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW): https://www.google.com/maps/place/52%C2%B031'06.5%22N+13%C2%B021'45.7%22E/@52.518463,13.3611324,579m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x47a851e619b10e2f:0x9fb97627fd8defc8!2sGovernment+District,+10557+Berlin!3b1!8m2!3d52.5177754!4d13.3679796!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d52.5184627!4d13.3626805
Closest S-Bahn station is Hauptbahnhof or you can take the scenic Bus 100 if you don’t feel like biking.
If it starts raining we’ll take cover under the roof of the Pregnant Oyster (HKW).
We will be there from 17:00 on, the meetup starts at 17:30
