OKRs in a Project-Company - Pain or Gain?

Details

!Attention! Double the fun? This Meetup was first published in the Mayflower Meetup Berlin group (https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/Mayflower-Meetup-Berlin/events/266967719)

Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) are a management framework that has been around for some decades already, yet has gained some momentum since its adoption by the Google company several years ago.

Since that, OKRs have been widely accepted as a means to generate focus and alignment on what is strategically important for the company. As such, a company’s OKRs should generally be derived from the company’s mission statement, that is it’s values, vision, and mission. In practice, this frequently poses a problem to service providers as their teams’ daily business is often rather directed towards their customers’ product vision and business value than towards some company “common goal”. So is there an approved way of mitigating this gap between customer vision and company vision?

Today’s meetup offers a short introduction to OKRs in general and the problem specified above. We are particularly looking forward to hearing about your own individual solutions.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, talk will start at 6:30 pm.
